Artificial Intelligence: Seniors are first to be scammed by false images

The photos show a little boy proudly showing off his wooden sculpture and a pregnant woman smiling in the camera. All of these photos have something in common. They were all generated using artificial intelligence. Scammers use images and faces created by computer.

Financial scams

A lawyer in Paris with an artificial intelligence firm, Me Perrine Pellettier, explained that the goal of the scammers is to gain the trust of their victims in order to steal money. France Televisions’ teams worked with AI specialists to create a picture from nothing.
