OpenAI, a new artificial intelligence search engine that competes with Google

This is an extension to the ChatGPT artificial-intelligence (AI) generative interface. OpenAI, a leading technology company, launched an Internet search engine on October 31, to compete with Google. ChatGPT Search is only available for paying ChatGPT plus and ChatGPT team subscribers. In the next few months, you will be able to use it for free.

ChatGPT Search, which is integrated in ChatGPT means the software will no longer be satisfied with the finite data that has been accumulated inside a database. Now, the interface can draw online elements to answer questions. OpenAI stated in a press release (New Window).

Partnerships for “up-to-date information”

OpenAI allows users to search the Internet without having to use the ChatGPT tool. A spokeswoman told AFP that relies on its AI model to decide whether a particular source is a reliable answer for a query. OpenAI, as part of its evolution, has formed partnerships with data and publisher to “add up-to date information”,and provide a particular presentation for specific categories like weather or sport results.

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT to counter Google’s AI-based search functionality, introduced in the spring. AI Overviews, similar to ChatGPT, allows you to get a detailed answer for a query asked in common language. Microsoft’s Bing search engine now includes AI.
